SCANIA Truck DTC Code Title Fault Causes Notes Remedy

Wheel speed

 

Low level signal from the left wheel of the front axle.

 

The distance between the wheel speed sensor and the driver disk is too large.

 

ABS and TC cease to function. The warning light is on.

 

Check the wheel bearing play and that the wheel speed sensor is damaged. Adjust the position of the wheel speed sensor. The distance to the master disc should not exceed 0.7 mm.

Wheel speed

 

Variable signal level of rotational speed from the left wheel of the front axle.

 

The bus in the electrical circuit in question is of the wrong size.

 

When the wheel circumference changes, the speed of its rotation will differ from the speed of rotation of the other wheels. As a result, ABS loses the possibility of normal operation.

 

Check tire pressure and check for tire damage. Also check the tires for their vehicle specifications.

Wheel speed

 

The control unit has detected a constant voltage component in the signal from the left wheel of the front axle.

 

The wheel speed sensor or related wiring, due to a short circuit, is exposed to extraneous "positive" voltage.

 

ABS and TC cease to function. The warning light is on.

 

Check wheel speed sensor and related wiring. The voltage between the circuit and the ground must be 0 V.

Wheel speed

 

The current in the front left wheel drive circuit is higher than the allowable value.

 

Damage to the wheel speed sensor or related wiring caused a short to ground.

 

ABS and TC cease to function. The warning light is on.

 

Check wheel speed sensor and related wiring. The resistance between the contact of the circuit and the "mass" should not be below 200 kΩ.

Open circuit in the left wheel of the front axle.

 

Damage to the wheel speed sensor or its wiring.

 

ABS and TC cease to function. The warning light is on.

 

Check wheel speed sensor and related wiring. The resistance between the contacts of the circuit must be 1.2 kΩ.

Wheel speed

 

Short circuit in the front left wheel circuit.

 

Internal short circuit in the wheel speed sensor wiring.

 

ABS and TC cease to function. The warning light is on.

 

Check wheel speed sensor and related wiring. The resistance between the contacts of the circuit must be 1.2 kΩ.

Wheel speed

 

Repeated interruption of the rotation speed signal from the left wheel of the front axle.

 

The impulse wheel may be damaged or deformed.

 

ABS and TC cease to function. The warning light is on.

 

Check the master disc. Adjust the position of the wheel speed sensor. The distance to the master disc should not exceed 0.7 mm.

Wheel speed

 

The slipping of the left wheel of the front axle continued for at least 16 seconds.

 

The ABS control valve is not working properly or the wrong signal from the wheel speed sensor.

 

ABS and TC cease to function. The warning light is on.

 

Check the wheel bearing play and that the wheel speed sensor is damaged. Adjust the position of the wheel speed sensor. The distance to the master disc should not exceed 0.7 mm. Check the operation of the control valve using the diagnostic program.

Wheel speed

 

The self-test gave an unsatisfactory result for the left wheel of the front axle.

 

Confusion in the wiring wheel speed sensors.

 

ABS and TC cease to function. The warning light is on.

 

Find the appropriate fault code for the speed sensor of the other wheel. Switch contacts. The resistance between the contacts of the circuit must be 1.2 kΩ.

Wheel speed

 

Temporary loss of rotational speed signal from the left wheel of the front axle.

 

The distance between the driver dial and the wheel speed sensor is too large. A malfunction can also be caused by a bad mounting of the driver disc or its damage.

 

ABS and TC cease to function. The warning light is on.

 

Check wiring, hub bearing clearance, and sensor drive disc. Adjust the position of the wheel speed sensor. The distance to the master disc should not exceed 0.7 mm. Check wheel speed sensors using a diagnostic program.

Wheel speed

 

High noise level in the rotational speed signal from the left wheel of the front axle.

 

Sticking or vibration brakes. A malfunction can also be caused by poor contact or damage to the sensor dial.

 

ABS works only partially. TC stops working. The warning light is on.

 

Check the brakes, the wiring to the wheel speed sensor and the sensor drive disc. Using the diagnostic program, check wheel speed sensors.

Wheel speed

 

The signal is unreliable high speed of rotation from the left wheel of the front axle.

 

Sticking or vibration brakes. Malfunction may also occur due to poor fastening.

 

ABS and TC cease to function. The warning light is on.

 

Check the brake system and wiring to the wheel speed sensor. The resistance between the contacts of the circuit must be 1.2 kΩ. If the DTC appears again, with no brakes or vibration, replace the control unit.
