BBM Accessories Control Unit

 

MID249 - PPID29 - FMI3

Additional Accelerator.

Voltage of the Sensor signal of an accelerator is higher than 4.3 V. Breakage of the wire of the connection to the mass point, shorting of the signal wire to the wire with a higher voltage, the sensor or the idle switch of the accelerator is faulty.

 

MID249 - PPID29 - FMI4

Additional Accelerator.

Voltage of the sensor signal of the accelerator is below 0.4 V. Breakage of the supply or signal wire. The Sensor defective. Contacts in the connectors are oxidized or damaged.

 

MID249 - SID230 - FMI7

Idling switch 1.

Idle switch signal isn't in the range 0 to 13 %. Open signal or supply wire. Shorting the signal wire to power or ground. Idle switch of the auxiliary accelerator is faulty. Damaged or oxidized contacts in the connectors.

 

MID249 - SID231 - FMI2

Data Channel SAE J1939.

Can't communicate with other control units on the channel given by SAE J1939. Broken wire of the data channel between the unit and other control units, shorted the wires of the data channel to ground or to power supply. Perhaps the block is faulty.

MID249 - SID240 - FMI2

Program memory.

Software failure or faulty memory chip in the block. Re-program the block; if the problem persists, replace the block.

 

MID249 - SID250 - FMI2

Data Channel SAE J1708.

Block gets incorrect messages on the SAE J1708 data channel. Partial damage to data channel wires.

 

MID249 - SID253 - FMI2

EEPROM calibration memory.

Fault during programming or an error memory chip in block. Re-program the block; if the problem persists, replace block.

EEPROM calibration memory.

Fault in saved data. Incorrect software or error memory chip of block. Re-program block; if the problem persists, replace block.

Output signal of the relay number 1.

Short circuit to the battery power wire or to a higher voltage between unit and the relay.

Shorting the wire to ground between the block and the relay.

Component is not connected to pin BBB6 of the BBM block, short to power or to ground at pin BBB6 of the BBM block. Open circuit between the block and the body equipment component.

Body equipment component is not connected to pin BBB6 of the BBM unit or a wire break between the BBM unit and the body equipment component.
