Dashboard Control Unit (from Version 2)

 

MID 140/PID 96/FMI 5

Fuel level sensor

The resistance at contacts B3 and A12 of the dashboard unit from the sensor in the tank is more than 1 kOhm. Broken signal or negative wire, oxidation or damage to the contacts in the connectors. Probably defective sensor ..

 

MID 140/PID 96/FMI 6

Fuel level sensor

The resistance at contacts B3 and A12 of the dashboard block from the sensor in the tank is more than 20 Ohms. Shorting the signal wire to ground or a faulty sensor.

 

MID 140/PID 114/FMI 3

Ammeter

The signal wire is shorted to a higher voltage or the sensor is faulty. The sensor is located in the battery box.

 

MID 140/PID 114/FMI 4

Ammeter

Open or short to ground signal wire. Probably defective sensor.

MID 140/PID 117/FMI 3

Front air pressure sensor

Broken negative wire or shorted signal wire to a wire with a higher voltage. Probably defective sensor B152. The sensor is located to the left of the radiator grill under the cowl on the driver's side.

Front air pressure sensor

Broken power wire, sensor signal, shorted signal wire to ground, oxidized or damaged contacts in the connectors.

 

MID 140/PID 118/FMI 3

Rear air pressure sensor

Broken negative wire or shorted signal wire to a wire with a higher voltage. Probably defective sensor B153. The sensor is located to the left of the radiator grill under the cowl on the driver's side.

 

MID 140/PID 118/FMI 4

Rear air pressure sensor

Broken power wire, sensor signal, shorted signal wire to ground, oxidized or damaged contacts in the connectors.

 

MID 140/PID 158/FMI 3

Battery voltage

Battery voltage is higher than 31 V. The device for starting is connected, the generator or the battery is faulty.

 

MID 140/PID 158/FMI 4

Battery voltage

Voltage below 8 V. or voltage when the engine is running below 24 V. more than 250 seconds. Defective generator or battery.

MID 140/PID 171/FMI 5

Outdoor temperature sensor

The resistance at terminals B9 and A12 of the dashboard unit from the sensor is greater than 25 kOhm. Open signal or negative wire. Oxidation or damage of contacts in connectors. Defective sensor or outside temperature below 50 degrees. The sensor is located under the footrest on the passenger side.

 

MID 140/PID 171/FMI 6

Outdoor temperature sensor

The resistance at terminals B9 and A12 of the dashboard block from the sensor is less than 25 kOhm. Shorting the signal wire to ground, the sensor is defective or the outside temperature is above 90 degrees.

 

MID 140/PID 177/FMI 5

Gearbox oil temperature sensor

The resistance at the terminals B12 and A12 of the dashboard block from the sensor is more than 5 kOhm. Open signal or negative wire. Oxidation or damage of contacts in connectors. Sensor defective.

 

MID 140/PID 177/FMI 6

Gearbox oil temperature sensor

The resistance at terminals B12 and A12 of the dashboard block from the sensor is less than 10 kOhm. Short circuit of signal wire to ground or defective sensor. The gearbox oil temperature is very high.

 

MID 140/PID 252/FMI 9

The current date

Date or time data sent by the car control unit or tachograph unit via the data channel is incorrect or missing. A malfunction in the data channel or damaged contacts in the connectors.

 

MID 140/SID 231/FMI 2

Data Channel SAE J1939

There is no communication via the SAE J1939 data channel between the dashboard control unit and other units. Data channel break. Short in wiring between blocks.

MID 140/SID 240/FMI 2

Program memory

Software malfunction. There may be a malfunction in the dashboard.

 

MID 140/SID 250/FMI 12

Data Channel SAE J1708

One of the control units is in programming mode or another control unit is defective. Check for other trouble codes. Check the health of other blocks ..

Calibration memory, EEPROM

An error during programming or a malfunction in the memory circuit. The reaction is not predictable.

 

MID 140/PPID 20/FMI 0

Brake pad wear sensors (FL, FE)

An open circuit between the brake pad wear sensors and terminal C28 of the dashboard unit. Pads on one of the wheels are worn out, wiring is faulty.

Dashboard overheating

A thermometer built into the dashboard records the temperature above 90 degrees. The air ducts of the heater are defective, external influences (for example, direct sunlight on the instrument panel).

Reference impedance

The dashboard unit registers resistance below 22.5 ohms. Malfunction in the dashboard equipment, malfunction of the fuel level sensor or environmental sensor. Malfunction in the wiring between the dashboard and the sensors.

Reference Resistance

The dashboard unit registers resistance below 22.5 ohms. Dashboard equipment malfunction, fuel level sensor or environmental sensor malfunction. Malfunction in the electrical wiring between the dashboard and the sensors.

Ammeter power supply

The dashboard unit registers high voltage or a short circuit not powered. The dashboard is faulty.

 

MID 140/PSID 8/FMI 6

Ammeter power supply

The dashboard unit registers a short circuit by mass. The dashboard is faulty.

 

MID 140/PSID 9/FMI 3

Parking heater control signal

Circuit to a higher voltage or wire break between the dashboard unit and the heater unit. Also make sure that the coolant temperature is below 78 degrees and the engine speed does not exceed 300 rpm.
